Welcome to the beginning of the Fowl and Fancy Blog!
Here at Fowl and Fancy we’re dedicated to providing detailed and realistic care information for raising and maintaining a happy and healthy flock – whether your flock consists of chickens, ducks, quail, turkeys, or any other type of fowl.
On the blog, we’ll be providing various how-to guides, reviews on poultry-related products, some of our favorite egg-related recipes, as well as some handy business and financial tips for any lover of poultry who may want to try to make profit from their chickens, save money, or even build a small poultry business.
Currently I live in a neighborhood within the city limits while running my own mini “farm.” I have chickens, ducks, and quail while also working a full-time job. Raising chickens and other animals takes time and effort, however, the joy they bring as well as the fresh eggs, makes it completely worth it. I hope that the tips and information I provide on this blog will help you with raising your own flocks, whether they be big or small, whether you work from home and spend a lot of time with your flock, or whether you are working at an office and can only spend limited amounts of time.
Share my journey with me, enjoy the fruits of my research, and learn some business acumen, as I go from a small-time poultry owner working a full-time job in the city to hopefully achieving my dream of homesteading on a small farm and raising all kinds of fancy fowl.
Please feel free to join the mailing list (soon to come) – we won’t harass you with unnecessary e-mails, but we will send out the occasional helpful checklist, free giveaways, and other exclusive content.
I welcome you all to the Fowl & Fancy blog!
Happy Clucking!
